Mompreneur
Let me tell you how this all started.
When I was pregnant when my twins in 2008, I was in massage school. I dropped my hours at the hospital to part-time because going to school became a full-time job & simply too much for me. As we got closer to graduation, I realized I'd have to stay part-time employed for a while longer.
Fast Foward to 2013, I'm still part-time but now have 6 kids. (Yes, I was busy, but so what. You can read more about my mommy escapades in The Mommy) There's no way I could possibly return to full-time but I know I wanted to do more. Time passes & I help my mother put her business online. My mom, Ivy, is a well-known Bespoke Tailor in Severna Park, MD. I attend a networking event for her that same year in June & on that same day, I started my business.
I asked our accountant, Shelia Johnson, what else can I do for my mom. Well, Shelia's reply was "Morgan, that's amazing. You should become a Virtual Assistant. Do you know how many other business owners you can help? There are plenty out there that need your assistance" BOOM! Simplified VA.
I started my business that day. EIN, branding, etc. I put together, the whole kit'n kaboodle by my self. My pitch is "I'm the Coolest Chick In Marketing & Simplified VA is the virtual office that'll get you going, from branding to execution" It wasn't easy but I have tons of stories about being an entrepreneur that I will be sharing in on this site.
